Guideline Waste and bioremediation deals with the problem of pollution of the biosphere with one of the toxicants of anthropogenic origin - chlorine and its compounds. The brochure discusses both the benefits of chlorine and the potential dangers it can pose to any living organism if it leaks into the environment. The purpose of the publication is to raise the environmental awareness of the staff of schools and other educational institutions about the necessity of safe disposal and utilization of expired and unused chemical substances.
In the second part, modern prospects for overcoming the ecological crisis are discussed - economically profitable and environmentally safe biotechnologies for cleaning water, air and soil contaminated with toxicants.
